Meet the Invited Speakers

Catherine Huang, Senior Staff Software Engineer, Google LLC

Catherine Huang is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, responsible for AI-enabled counter abuse technology for user protection. Her research interests are adversarial machine learning and AI-powered cybersecurity. She has 15+ patents and 40+ papers. Previously, she was a Principal Engineer at McAfee and a Senior Research Scientist at Intel Labs, and a champion of adversarial machine learning research at Intel Science and Technology Center in University of California Berkeley. She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University in the US, M.S. in Electrical Engineering at University of New Brunswick in Canada.

Nancy Min, Founder and CEO of ecoLong

Nancy Min is the Founder and CEO of ecoLong, an energy technology company that is committed to building interconnected and resilient communities.  She leads the research and development of multiple U.S. DOE funded projects including a blockchain based peer to peer transactive energy platform. She has experience driving technology innovation in start-ups, technology strategy and implementing large-scale enterprise systems in the federal and state government, and corporate finance in large companies. She has testified before the U.S. House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Underserved, Agriculture, and Rural Business Development on “Prioritizing Small Underserved and Rural Businesses in the SBIR/STTR Programs” on ways to foster diversity and inclusion among innovative companies. She is also passionate about giving back to the community and is involved in multiple open-source software technology communities.
