We seek proposals in all AI research verticals but are not limited to transportation &amp; aerospace, sustainability, healthcare &amp; life science, engineering &amp; manufacturing, business intelligence, human centered AI, security &amp; safety, computer vision, quality assurance &amp; standards, and robotics &amp; UAV.<\/p><p>We invite proposals for three types of tutorials, and we especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers:<\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #454545\"><strong>Cutting-edge to AI research:<\/strong><\/span> Tutorials that cover advances in newly emerging areas. The tutorials are expected to briefly introduce the topic, but participants are assumed to have some prior knowledge of it. The class will discuss the most recent developments in the field and point out open research questions and essential novel research directions.<\/li><li><span style=\"color: #454545\"><strong>Introductory to one of the AI research verticals:<\/strong><\/span> Tutorials that provide introductions to topics that are established in the AI communities. The lecturers provide an overview of the development of the field from the beginning until now. Attendees are not expected to come with prior knowledge. They acquire a sufficient understanding of the topic to understand the most recent research in the field.<\/li><li><span style=\"color: #454545\"><strong>Legal, ethical, governance, and standards of AI:<\/strong><\/span> Tutorials that provide introductions to established or emerging topics in areas. The lecturers give an overview of the development in the field from the beginning until now and provide some example implications of AI systems in various domains (such as healthcare, finance, law enforcement, transportation, and manufacturing), as well as highlight future research directions.
